Main clock display

Tournament title: Shows the Tournament Name entered in Setup.
Fullscreen: Enters or exits browser fullscreen while keeping the clock and enabled side columns visible.
Status pill: Shows Ready, Running, Paused, Break, or Finished according to the current clock state.
Timer: Shows the time remaining in the current level or break. A running clock follows wall time even after a refresh or brief interruption.
Progress bar: Shows how much of the current level or break has elapsed.
Current level: Shows the current level number, small blind, big blind, and ante. Breaks use the coffee icon and hide blind values.
Next break line: Shows the time until the next scheduled break and its duration, or No scheduled breaks when none remain.
Next / Then: Shows the next two structure rows. Break rows display the coffee icon and a single Break block.
Paused / Break overlay: Displays a large state message over the clock. Paused takes priority when the clock is paused during a break.

Main control bar

Buy-in: Adds one Entry and one Remaining player, then recalculates the automatic prize pool and payouts.
Rebuy: Adds one Rebuy, then recalculates the automatic prize pool and payouts.
$ icon: Opens Players & Payouts for counts, buy-in values, stacks, paid places, and payout editing.
Prev: Moves to the previous structure row and resets that row to its full configured duration.
−1m: Removes one minute from the tournament timeline. It can move the clock into a later structure row.
Play / Pause: Starts or resumes the timer. While running, the same button pauses it at the current time.
+1m: Adds one minute to the tournament timeline. It can move the clock back into an earlier structure row.
Next: Moves to the next structure row and resets that row to its full configured duration.
Restart: Shows a confirmation warning, then returns the tournament to its starting progress and count settings while keeping the active codes loaded.
Structure icon: Opens the editable Blind Structure popup.
Bust: Subtracts one Remaining player. Remaining cannot be reduced below 1.
Cog: Opens Tournament Setup.
Create Codes: Appears before codes exist and creates the Edit Code, Public Code, and public link.
Load Code: Appears when no code is loaded. Enter either an Edit Code or Public Code and the correct clock mode opens automatically. Invalid codes show a five-second retry countdown.

Public clock controls

Public pill: Confirms that the loaded clock is the read-only public version.
Structure: Opens the complete blind structure as a read-only table. No fields, add buttons, movement buttons, or delete controls are available.
Help: Opens this guide without leaving the public clock.
Unload Code: Unloads the Public Code from this browser and returns to the no-code screen. It does not delete the saved clock.
Shot Clock: Opens the same local Shot Clock popup available on the edit clock. It does not change tournament clock state or saved public-code data.
Quean Poker logo: Appears on the second row beneath Public, Structure, Help, Unload Code, and Shot Clock, and opens q-p.net.au.
Live updates: The public clock regularly reloads newer saved data and remains read-only.
Public sound: A level-end sound is played only when a synced running clock advances to a later level, not merely when the public page is opened.

Direct timer controls

Previous / Next: Moves one structure row backward or forward and loads that row's full duration. A running clock continues running.
−1m / +1m: Removes or adds one minute across the tournament timeline, moving between structure rows when necessary.
Play / Pause: Starts, resumes, or pauses the current timer without opening another menu.
Restart: Uses the confirmation warning. When confirmed, it returns to the first row, pauses the clock, sets Entries and Remaining to 1, sets Rebuys to 0, and recalculates payouts. Setup, structure, display settings, and active codes remain in place.
Shot Clock: Opens a separate countdown with 10, 20, 30, and 60 second presets. Choose a preset to set the starting value. Bank adds the selected preset to the current clock whether running or paused. Start begins or resumes the displayed number, Pause holds the current value, and Reset reloads the selected starting value. The display turns red for the final 5 seconds.
Automatic advance: At zero, the selected level-end sound plays and the clock advances to the next row while continuing to run. At the end of the final row it stops and shows Finished.

Players & Payouts

Entries: Total buy-ins used in the automatic prize-pool and chips-in-play calculations.
Rebuys: Total rebuys used in the automatic prize-pool and chips-in-play calculations.
Remaining: Players still in the tournament. Used to calculate the average stack.
Prize: Prize component contributed by every Entry and Rebuy.
Fee: Fee component shown as part of the buy-in total. It is not added to the automatic prize pool.
Buy In: Read-only sum of Prize plus Fee.
Prize Pool: Amount distributed through payouts. Editing this field creates a manual prize-pool override.
Paid Places: Sets the number of payout rows directly. The Payout Matrix can calculate this automatically from 10%–30% of Entries.
Starting Stack: Starting chips for each Entry or Rebuy. Used for Total chips in play and Average stack.
Show payouts: Shows or masks payout amounts on the main and public clock. This is separate from enabling or disabling the entire Pay Outs action block.

Payout calculation and editor

Automatic prize pool: Calculated as (Entries + Rebuys) × Prize. Changing Entries, Rebuys, or Prize removes a previous manual prize-pool override.
Payout Matrix: Uses a 10%–30% horizontal slider to calculate paid places from Entries and a vertical slider to move the payout shape from flat to top heavy. The preview does not change Paid Places or Payout Editor until Apply is pressed.
Minimum payout: Every generated payout must be at least 1.5× one Buy In. If the selected number of places cannot meet that minimum, Apply is disabled.
Rounding: Select $5, $10, $25, $50, or $100. Lower-place payouts are rounded to that increment while respecting the minimum; all rounding remainder is added to 1st place.
Apply: Copies the preview into Paid Places and Payout Editor. Individual payout amounts can still be edited afterwards.
Reset Matrix: Returns the matrix controls to 15% paid, Balanced shape, and $10 rounding without applying the preview.
Payout amount: Each generated payout can be edited directly. Changes update the main Pay Outs block.
Green ✓: The payout total exactly matches the prize pool.
− amount: The payouts are under the prize pool by the displayed amount.
+ amount: The payouts exceed the prize pool by the displayed amount.
Regeneration: Changing Entries, Rebuys, Prize, Prize Pool, or Paid Places still regenerates the current payout rows. Moving Payout Matrix controls only changes its preview until Apply is pressed.
Hidden payouts: When Show payouts is off, the block displays a message instead of payout amounts.

Info, Pay Outs, Structure, and Public Clock blocks

Info: Shows Total Prize Pool, Remaining/Entries, Rebuys when greater than zero, Average stack with current big-blind multiple, and Total chips in play.
Pay Outs: Shows each paid place and configured amount, or the hidden-payout message when Show payouts is off.
Structure: Shows a window of current and upcoming structure rows. The current row is highlighted and breaks use the coffee icon.
Public Clock: Shows the public QR code and clickable public clock link after codes have been created.
Total chips in play: Calculated as (Entries + Rebuys) × Stack.
Average stack: Calculated as Total chips in play ÷ Remaining, followed by its value in current big blinds when available.
Current big blind: During a break, the Info block uses the nearest available playable level to calculate the BB multiple.

Tournament Setup

Tournament Name: Sets the heading on edit and public clocks.
Create Codes: Creates a private Edit Code and a read-only Public Code. After creation, edit changes are saved to that clock automatically.
Unload Codes: After confirmation, unloads the active Edit and Public codes from this browser and starts a fresh local clock. It does not delete the saved server copy.
Edit Code: Private code used to reopen and control the tournament. Copy copies the code itself.
Public Code: Read-only code for venue screens or spectators. Copy copies the code itself.
Public Link: Direct URL containing the Public Code. The copy icon copies the complete link.
Local autosave: Current state is saved in the browser. Text and numeric configuration fields commit when changed or when focus leaves the field.
Cloud autosync: Opening an Edit Code only loads and observes the saved clock. It does not start, pause, restart, advance, or save timer progress. A browser becomes the controlling instance only after a deliberate edit or clock action, and other loaded instances receive its newer saved data.
Close: Closes Setup while retaining all saved changes.

Display and action-block settings

Show borders: Shows or hides border lines around panels, cards, inputs, tables, and buttons without changing the layout.
Show left column: Shows or hides every enabled action block assigned to the left column. The clock expands into the released space.
Show right column: Shows or hides every enabled action block assigned to the right column. The clock expands into the released space.
Block Enabled: Independently enables or disables Info, Pay Outs, Structure, or Public Clock.
Block Left / Right: Moves that action block between the left and right columns. The switch points to the selected side.
Column versus block: A block must be enabled and its assigned column must be shown before it appears.
Responsive layout: On narrower screens the clock receives priority and the enabled columns stack underneath when required.
Colour Scheme: Changes the page palette between Default green, Dark blue, Dark red, Black, Lime green, Yellow, Purple, and Orange.

Blind Structure popup

Add Level: Adds a playable row. It starts with values based on the latest playable level. A maximum of 50 total rows is allowed.
Add Break: Adds a 10-minute break row with no blind or ante values.
#: Shows the automatic playable-level number. Breaks are not counted as numbered levels.
Type: Changes a row between Level and Break. Changing to Break clears Small, Big, and Ante.
Minutes: Sets the duration of that level or break. The minimum is one minute.
Small / Big / Ante: Sets the playable blind and ante values. These fields are disabled and ignored for breaks.
↑ / ↓: Moves the selected row up or down and automatically renumbers playable levels.
Delete: Removes the selected structure row.
Current row: The row currently used by the clock is highlighted.
Live edit: Changes update the main clock and Structure action block. Editing the current row duration updates its timer safely.
Public structure: The same popup is available from a public clock but is displayed as read-only.

Background and level-end sound

Background Image: Selects an image to display behind the clock layout and shows a preview in Setup.
Remove Background Image: After confirmation, removes the background from the clock.
Level End Sound: Selects Beep, Bell, Airhorn, Chime, Ship horn, or Honk twice.
Test Sound: Unlocks browser audio and plays the selected sound so volume and browser permissions can be checked.
When sound plays: Plays when a running level reaches zero and advances. Manually pressing Previous or Next does not play the level-end warning.
Browser audio: Some browsers require Test Sound or another user interaction before automatic audio is permitted.

Offline backup

Open section: Expand Optional offline backup in Setup to access the backup tools.
Generate Offline Backup Code: Creates a long encoded copy of the current clock state in the text box.
Offline Backup Code: Holds a generated code or a code pasted from another browser or device.
Copy Backup: Copies the backup code to the clipboard. When the box is empty, it generates the current backup first.
Load Backup: Loads the pasted backup locally, switches to editable mode, pauses the clock, validates the data, and saves it in this browser.
Database independence: The encoded backup can restore the saved clock configuration without loading an Edit Code from the database.

Popup and navigation behaviour

Close buttons: Close the current popup without discarding changes already saved.
Dark backdrop: Clicking outside a popup closes it.
Escape: Closes the currently open Players & Payouts, Structure, Help, or Setup popup.
Refresh: Local state is restored from the browser. A loaded Edit or Public Code is retained and reopened when possible.
Public restrictions: Player counts, timer controls, Setup, code creation, payout editing, and structure editing are unavailable in public mode.
